More Google Traffic: And Plenty Of It!

If you are on the web in any way and in need of bringing in more money, then you need more Google traffic.

Dollar for dollar, there is nothing you can do that will beat the return on investment that getting more Google traffic will do for you.

But be fully warned, the keyword game is as cutthroat a business as there is online.

And there are billions of dollars at stake, so the heavy hitters online do not like to lose.

For you to start to get more Google traffic, you need to assemble a list of your best keywords that are three words or more.

Why?

Because these are your “long tail keywords.”

So why not the shorter keywords?

Because the competition for them may be overwhelmning.

The real story here is that while there is less traffic for your longer keywords…there is far less competition…and therein lies your opportunity.

And I will point out that if your business is geotargeted…your keywords will become even more focused and those will become even easier to rank for. Simply by adding your targeted locations as part of your keyword mix will dramatically increase your odds of being able to attain rank for that particular keyword.

The sad truth is that is it almost impossible for you to compete for the most general of your keywords.

Then the real trade off here is going after keywords that will never get to page one versus going after the ones that will.

And when I say “winnable” I mean that if you are going to put in the time to get more Google traffic, (and it will take some time) then your end game should be to see results. To me and to those that do this, anything besides Google page 1 is nothing. YOU NEED GOOGLE PAGE 1!

Having done this for a decade, I will tell you that you can and will get to Google page 1…but for your more descriptive keywords.
