How Organic SEO Can Spice Up A Non-Performing Website

It’s a fact that worldwide there are millions of websites that just don’t do the job that they were initially designed for, which in many cases is to attract visitors and make a sale of a product or service.

They simply hang around suspended in web space doing nothing!

But, this doesn’t have to be the case. If the website is targeting a market with potential then it is possible to breathe new life into it.

A small business SEO service can potentially transform a failing website into a top performer sitting on page 1 of Google.

By analysing the website, the market and main competition an SEO company will be able to tell whether its search engine ranking can be improved.

It is possible to attract traffic to a website quickly by using pay per click campaigns from third party services such as Google Adwords. The main drawback with this strategy is that it costs money. The more clicks you have through to your website the more you pay.

A more appealing method, certainly from the search engines point of view, is to use organic SEO. This involves optimising the website using on-page and off-page techniques in a way that will naturally push the site up the search engine rankings.

On-page search engine optimisation will take into account the website’s domain name url’s, page titles, meta keywords, meta descriptions, headlines, content, anchor text, internal links etc.

Off-page optimisation basically involves building the link popularity of the website. Link popularity represents the number of back links or links back to the website from other websites. The higher your link popularity, the higher your page rank (PR) will be and the higher your site will appear in the search engine results. Building link popularity involves raising the number of websites that link back to the website being optimised.

These two stages will be completed by any good organic SEO company which should then continue to promote the site using legitimate Internet marketing methods.

Nicely summed up there, however, I wouldn’t say that Google rewards SEO’s and webmasters for their optimisation efforts. The aim of Google, or any other search engine, is to bring the searcher the most relevant results for each search they perform, so by performing SEO, you are simply making it clear to search engines what your site is about, and also, by building links to it, letting them know that it can be trusted as a resource.
